BWC to Honor Workers Killed on the Job

COLUMBUS – The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) will host a program to honor the 145 workers killed on the job in Ohio over the past year. The tribute will be Friday, September 2 at 11 a.m., in the auditorium of the William Green Building, 30 W. Spring Street in Columbus.

“Ohio’s workers are its greatest resource, and last year more than 100 of those workers lost their lives on the job,” said BWC Administrator/CEO Steve Buehrer. “As we approach Labor Day, it is fitting that we pay tribute to these fallen workers and honor their sacrifice.”

The media are invited to join Administrator Buehrer, members of the BWC Board of Directors, businesses, legislators, labor representatives and others for the ceremony.
