BWC Formulary Subcommittee to Meet Aug. 10

COLUMBUS – The Formulary Subcommittee of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee will meet Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011. The meeting will take place from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in Room 2, on Level 2 of the William Green Building, 30 W. Spring St., Columbus.

The Formulary Subcommittee is comprised of physicians and pharmacists who advise the P&T Committee regarding additions, changes, deletions or restrictions of drugs on the BWC formulary. Final recommendations for rule changes are made to the BWC Administrator by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.

This will be the first meeting of the subcommittee. The agenda will focus on a review of drug utilization in the narcotic analgesic drug class, and any new products in that class that are about to enter the market.
