BWC Directors to Hold Public Forum on Group Rating

Actuarial Committee to Consider Proposed Discount Reduction

COLUMBUS – The BWC Board of Directors’ Actuarial Committee will host a forum to hear public input on the issue of group rating Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 9 – 11 a.m. The public forum will be held in the auditorium of the William Green Building, located at 30 W. Spring St., Columbus.

Numerous representatives from a variety of industries have registered their intent to address the committee on the subject of group rating. On-site registrants will be given an opportunity to address the directors if time permits.

Following the public forum, the Actuarial Committee will hold a special meeting from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. to discuss the proposed reduction of Ohio’s group-rating discount from 90 percent to no less than 80 percent for the upcoming program year, which begins on July 1, 2008.
