Chief Communications Officer Keary McCarthy joined BWC in January 2007, bringing with him a wide array of skills and a unique blend of professional expertise.

McCarthy has consulted and provided strategic communication services for a number of private and public sector initiatives throughout Ohio. In 2005, he and his wife, Lori, opened a small, Columbus-based communications consulting firm. Specializing in marketing, public affairs and public relations, the firm quickly developed a niche for public policy initiatives.

Prior to 2005, McCarthy helped run a small public relations consulting firm in Cleveland.

A native of Newark, Ohio, but a resident of many cities throughout the state, McCarthy was educated in Springfield where he earned bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University. He earned his master’s degree from Cleveland State University.
