BWC’s legislative liaison came to the bureau in 2007, after serving in a similar roll for
four years for the Ohio Judicial Conference.
Madriguera serves as the main contact person between BWC and members of the Ohio General
Assembly as well as other governmental stakeholders. Her activities include analyzing and
monitoring pending legislation, and advising legislators, governmental stakeholders and
interested parties on BWC’s policies and processes. In addition, she informs these parties
of any impact that pending legislation would have on those policies and procedures.
Madriguera earned her law degree from The Ohio State University in May 2000
and was admitted to the Ohio bar in November 2000. She served briefly as a legal research
associate with Lexis-Nexis before entering government service in January 2001 working for
the Ohio Senate Minority Caucus.
Madriguera, a native of New Fairfield, Conn., lives in New Albany with her husband and
daughter.
