The BWC’s Community Relations Department was formed in 2006 as the Department of Stakeholder Relations. The mission of
the department is to inform and educate community groups and stakeholders of BWC’s programs, processes and policies.
Housed within BWC’s Communications and Marketing Division, members of the community relations team serve as liaisons to
statewide business, labor, community and economic development organizations. The department provides Ohio’s employer
community a voice in the state’s workers’ compensation system through one-on-one communication; educational outreach;
large group presentations; and participation in industry trade shows and conferences across Ohio.
