Labor management cooperation program

Managing workers’ comp issues does not have to be hard labor
It’s no secret that cooperation between labor and management is critical to every aspect of a business, including workers’ compensation. So, when you consider participating in BWC’s Drug-Free Workplace Program (DFWP) or developing a transitional work program, let BWC help you bring labor and management together.

BWC has partnered with the Ohio Labor-Management Cooperation Program (OLMCP) to help companies and unions work together to overcome barriers when implementing workers’ comp programs.

OLMCP is a network of neutral, non-for-profit organizations located throughout Ohio and is partially funded by the Ohio Department of Development. Each organization has a proven track record of helping labor and management find common interests, and build solutions acceptable to everyone, as well as being innovative and flexible to meet the demands of your organization.

When organizations and unions face difficult topics, an OLMCP representative will meet with labor and management to:

  • Identify and address concerns management and labor have concerning BWC programs;
  • Determine the best approach for developing a labor-management process that is unique to the organization and which will assist in implementing programs that can enhance workplace safety;
  • Develop cooperative relationships that can create stronger and more productive organizations.

And the costs for you are simply your time and commitment. We will pay for OLMCP’s services when you use the program to implement BWC’s DFWP or a transitional work program.

For more information, you can download and print a fact sheet. You also can contact Kevin Quinn, BWC regional representative, at (330) 430-1985, or via e-mail
