Managed Care Organizations (MCOs)
In March 1997, BWC began implementing a managed-care
system, the Health Partnership Program (HPP). Under this
managed-care system, private-sector MCOs manage the medical
services in our claims. BWC and the private-sector MCOs
certified to participate in HPP work together to provide
comprehensive claims-management and medical-management
services to the employers and employees of Ohio.
