Authorized representatives are selected by or hired by
the injured worker or employer to represent
them during the life of the claim. Generally an
attorney is selected, but the representative can be anyone.
The injured worker may notify the claims service specialist (CSS)
of the dismissal of his/her current authorized representative by telephone, fax or
letter.
Telephone - Call the CSS to notify BWC of your
intent, but the representative is not dismissed until written confirmation is
received.
Fax - Send written notification to the CSS.
Letter - Mail the notice to the CSS. You
should copy the notification to the interested parties.
