When you are hurt on the job, you can see any doctor/provider for your first
visit. If your doctor is a BWC-certified provider, he or she may continue to treat you.
If your doctor is not BWC-certified, than you must
go to a BWC-certified provider. If you should
choose to continue to have a non-certified provider treat you, you will be
responsible for all medical costs related to your work place injury and will have
no recourse against your managed care organizaiton (MCO), BWC, or your employer.
