Occupational disease claims are more involved and may require
more information than claims involving other injuries. Be sure to complete the
steps listed below as soon as possible.
Tell your employer you have been diagnosed with a workplace occupational disease.
Tell your doctor/provider or emergency room the name of your managed care
organization (MCO) at the time of service.
They will need this information to file your claim.
Ask your doctor/provider or emergency room to file your claim with the
MCO. Your doctor is required to file the claim with your MCO within 24 hours.
