Pharmacy benefits program contacts

  • Pharmacy benefits manager - SXC Health Solutions (SXC) is the sole drug-bill processor for Ohio state-fund, black lung and Marine Industrial Fund claims. To contact SXC, call 1-800-OHIOBWC, and follow the prompts.

  • Pharmacy consultant - If you have questions or comments about BWC's outpatient drug benefits, program design or other related matters, e-mail BWC's pharmacy staff at pharmacist@bwc.state.oh.us or mail:
    Pharmacy Program
    Medical Services Division
    Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation
    30 W. Spring St., 21st floor
    Columbus, OH 43215-2256
  • Managed care organizations – MCOs manage and reimburse the following services that may be obtained in a pharmacy: compound medications; durable medical equipment; disposable medical supplies; and home infusion therapy. Drugs supplied in a physician’s office will not be reimbursed as outpatient medication. Submit bills for items such as crutches, walkers, gauze or tape to the MCO on a HCFA 1500 or Service Invoice (C-19).
