Remain-at-work services

BWC offers remain-at-work services to injured workers with medical-only claims as a way to keep them from becoming lost-time claims. Prior to this initiative, injured workers could only receive these types of services if they were off work for eight or more days. A field vocational rehabilitation case manager may coordinate these services, which are managed by the managed care organization and charged to the employer’s policy.
