OhioBWC - Basics:
What is a Qualified Health Plan (QHP)
What is a Qualified Health Plan (QHP)
If your employer is self-insured and has a Qualified Health Plan (QHP), you can expect:
Higher quality medical care;
Timely access to medical services;
To be provided with the list of health-care providers participating in your employer's QHP;
Choice of any QHP panel provider or an option to choose a non-panel, BWC-certified, health-care provider;
To seek initial treatment from a QHP provider;
Your employer's QHP to medically manage your claim regardless of provider and panel relationship;
The option to return to a QHP panel provider at any time.
