Accept Assignment
If a pharmacy accepts assignment, an injured worker does not have to pay for the prescription when it is dispensed. By accepting assignment, the pharmacy agrees to wait for payment until the claim is allowed; however, if a claim is not ultimately allowed, the injured worker is responsible for paying the prescription in full.

Pharmacy Benefits Program
The pharmacy benefits program is managed by a BWC-contracted pharmacy benefits manager. The pharmacy benefits program handles outpatient drug benefits for injured workers with state-fund claims covered under the Health Partnership Program.
